PYAC 20 COVID-19 INFORMATION
If you’re interested in attending but thinking about how COVID affects our conference this year…
Like everyone else, we (the PYAC planning team at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia) will be monitoring the ever-changing situation with COVID-19 as we move toward October 30 and PYAC 20. We will be monitoring the City of Philadelphia’s guidelines and regulations, as well as the general state of public health and virus spread. In the event that we are unable to hold the conference at Liberti Church, we are planning on holding it at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. Calvary Chapel offers ample parking and several large room options that would allow us to be flexible in terms of seating and other arrangements.
If we switch the venue to Calvary Chapel, we will notify all attendees by Monday, October 19 if at all possible. In the event that we move PYAC, we will work to provide an optional on-site lunch option at Calvary for the Saturday break, which will simplify the conference schedule.
Of course, the nature of public health restrictions being imposed in response to the virus could mean that we will simply have to cancel the event. In that case, we will provide notification within 48 hours of the event (By October 28), and provide full refunds to everyone who has registered.

Dr. Dominic Hernández is an assistant professor of Old Testament Interpretation at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY), and directs Southern’s Online Hispanic Program. Dr. Hernández loves serving the church in English, Spanish, and Hebrew-language ministries in the United States and abroad. His forthcoming book, Proverbs: Pathways to Wisdom is due in July, from Abingdon Press.
